About this tool
Simon Says is a free online game. Memorize and repeat the color sequence. Play instantly — no install, no waiting. It runs entirely in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.
There are four different colored buttons on the screen. Each round, the system will randomly flash one or more of the buttons, and players need to click in the same order. One flash in the first round, two flash in the second round, and so on, the sequence increases by one bit in each round.
Tests short-term memory ability. Experts will use rhythm or formula to assist memory, such as composing color sequences into melodies. Once you make a mistake, the game ends, showing how many rounds you have persisted to.
Color flashing uses CSS animation to control transparency and brightness changes, and cooperates with the Web Audio API to play sound effects with different tones (each color corresponds to one pitch), forming dual audio-visual memory clues.
Simon said that in memory games, the system flashes a set of color sequences, which players need to repeat in the same order, and the sequence grows by one digit per round.
