DPI Converter is a free online tool. Change image DPI to print standards like 300.
After uploading the image, enter the target DPI value (common examples are 72, 96, 150, 300, 600), and the tool will modify the DPI field in the file metadata and then output the new file. Note: This only changes the size calculation benchmark during printing, and will not increase or decrease the number of pixels of the picture, and the image quality will not change.
DPI is just a metadata tag that tells a printer or typesetting software "how many pixels to put in per inch." Modifying the DPI does not make blurred pictures clearer, but only changes the physical size when printed out. For example, for a 3000-pixel picture, 300 DPI printing is 10 inches wide, and 72 DPI printing is 41.7 inches wide.
It is suitable for scenes where publishing houses or printing houses require pictures to be marked with 300 DPI. It is also used to adjust the default display size of pictures on different output devices.
