Morse Code is a free online text tool. Text to Morse code converter with short/long number codes. Tweak, transform, and clean up your text in seconds. It runs entirely in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.
Enter English text and the tool converts it to Morse code: letters are used with dots (.) A dash (-) means that letters are separated by spaces and words are separated by slashes. For example, SOS becomes... --- ...。Entering Morse code backwards can also be decoded into text.
Morse code was invented by American Samuel Morse in the 1830s and was originally used for telegraph communications. Each letter and number has a fixed code: A is.-, B is-, Number 1 is.---, 0 is----. The ratio of time for ticking is 1:3.
The tool can play Morse code audio signals (dotted short tones, crossed long tones) to simulate real telegraph sounds. Suitable for learning Morse code, making amateur radio communications, or as a prop for cryptographic games. Support for adjusting playback speed (WPM).
