Mouse Follow Blob is a free online visual effect. Fluid blob effect that follows and sticks to your cursor. Interactive eye-candy rendered live on your screen. It runs entirely in your browser — no download or sign-up needed.
After opening the page, a slim-like object will be displayed to follow the mouse. The slim-like object will stretch and deform, producing a real physical effect. Parameters such as viscosity, viscosity, and color of the mucus can be adjusted.
The whole process is purely front-end animation. Canvas based spring particle system simulates the deformation of mucus, and uses Hooke's Law to calculate the force on each particle.
It is suitable for use as a decompression toy, interactive display, or purely appreciating the interesting effect of mucus following. The realization principle is a spring-mass system.
